I created this level using the Portal 2 game editor. The main theme is "Laser Beams", and this is the main mechanic I used. The full design document can be downloaded below (in french). It explains the desgin intentions, the iteration process, and also the testing phases with several testers.

Main mechanic

The aim is to use a laser beam to ricochet off different points to trigger the appearance of a reflective cube, which is then used to open the level's exit door.

There's a component that I try to implement in all the levels I build, and that's a verticality component. I try to force the player to look up. In this puzzle, the "understanding twist" comes when he spots the laser reception point located high up with his back to him as he enters the level, and understands that he has to use a portal above the exit door.

Difficulté - Challenger (2/4)

Out of 4 predetermined difficulty levels, I chose level 2/4. An accessible puzzle that can be completed relatively quickly, whether or not you're familiar with puzzle games. Note that the testing phases took place over several iterations, with several different testers, so as not to bias the overall construction.
